DATABASE AND SYSTEMS ANALYST

Job Description:

Perform software troubleshooting and monitoring functions for an extremely high transaction rate application. Be a partner in a team environment, but also be able to independently test and debug software over an n-tier distributed architecture.

Job Qualifications:

  • End to end n-tier distributed architecture knowledge and troubleshooting experience
  • Application Server Experience: JBoss
  • Remedy and Oracle Database experience required
  • Oracle & Postgres DBA and/or Oracle & Postgres DB development experience
  • Strong SQL experience required
  • Strong Solaris and/or Linux experience

  • C and/or Perl experience a plus

SENIOR JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Description:

Perform software development and maintenance functions for an extremely high transaction rate application. Partner in a team environment but also be able to independently design, develop, code, test and debug new software or make significant enhancements to existing software. Design and develop secure, scalable, and fault tolerant solutions across a distributed architecture.

Job Qualifications:

  • Strong Java, multi-threaded, client/server experience and expertise
  • J2EE, EJB, JMX, XML, XSL, XSLFO, JSF and JMS required
  • End to end n-tier distributed architecture design and development
  • Application Server Experience: JBoss
  • Oracle & Postgres DBA and/or Oracle & Postgres DB development experience (strong SQL/PLSQL required)
  • C and/or Perl experience a plus
  • 5+ yrs extensive hands on software development
  • Multi-threaded/concurrent programming experience
  • Software development experience utilizing Solaris and/or Linux platforms

INTEGRATION ENGINEER

Department: Operations
Location: Chantilly, VA or Mountain View, CA

Duties include transitioning new customers from a Sales environment into an operational environment. The Integration Engineer tunes the customer's services to be the most efficient for his unique network and establishes the administrative communications protocols that BT and the customer will use to communicate with each other. Further, the Integration Engineer eases the customer into the BT Managed Security service and introduces him to the Security Operations Center. The Integration Engineer may also perform routine actions in order to help manage customer security devices and may be called upon to surge after hours in order for the SOC to handle emergencies. Finally, the Integration Engineer will be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Further, the SOC Managed Devices Engineer will help the SOC Engineer operate and maintain the SOC by tracking and resolving service delivery issues, acting as the technical bridge between the customer and sales, and by designing and implementing various projects that will lead to overall improved service quality and profitability. The SOC Managed Devices Engineer may also be called upon to surge after hours in order for the SOC to handle emergencies and will be responsible for other duties as assigned. Finally, the SOC Managed Device Engineer will help the SOC Engineer with incident handling, incident response and escalation management in a 24x7 environment.
